Technical Committee for
Chemical pulping (CHEP)

General Information

This technical committee sees itself as a platform for the exchange of views of the German-speaking chemical pulp industry and the relevant research work at institutes and universities.

This technical committee deals with:

all current procedures, machines and plants for chemical pulp production, including possible by-products

all special environmental issues of the chemical pulp industry from a technological and technical point of view

chemical and physical testing of chemical pulps regarding their suitabilities for particular applications

the analytical definition of environmental parameters, their specification and questions of monitoring are tasks of the technical committee for environmental issues.

It works in close cooperation with the technical committees for

cellulose and cellulose derivatives
pulp and paper testing
environmental issues
