Paperboard Technology (PBTC)

General Information

The sphere of operation of the technical committee for carton and cardboard production comprises the entire technology for the production of carton and cardboard. This ranges from raw materials and process materials up to their dispersion, processing, screening production on the carton and cardboard machine with coating, calendering, rewinding, cutting, shipment and storage. Naturally, physical testing, ingredients and suitability for the packaging of food as well as the further processing like printing, blistering, creasing, scoring and gluing form part of this range of activities.

Additionally, the mostly very specific auxiliary plants like waste water clarification plants and power plant necessary for the production are included.

It works in close cooperation with the technical committees for

physical testing of half-stock and paper
plant and energy engineering
environmental issues
waste paper processing
