Technical Committee for
Chemical additives (CHAD) General Information
This technical committee deals with chemical additives and ingredients important for the paper industry.
The effects of these substances on the manufacturing processes as well as on the characteristics of paper and board with regard to environment, health and safety are at the centre of interest of this committee.
The following fields are not considered: chemical pulp digestion, fillers and coating pigments, analytical and converting processes.
The committee conducts information exchange with the technical committees for:
chemical pulping
paper making
mechanical pulping
paper and board converting
environmental issues
coating of paper and board
recovered paper utilization
health and safety
pulp and paper testing
