Outlook

As the technical and scientific association of the paper industry, ZELLCHEMING is an active partner in the network between the worldwide colleague associations, university institutes, research institutions and the industry.

ZELLCHEMING is not a national association - since its foundation in 1905, it has been open for an international range of colleagues that are welcomed and integrated intensively in order to tie the network more tightly and to further strengthen it. The process of globalisation also effects our industry. With the progressing consolidation of the paper industry, the association needs to adapt constantly to changing conditions in order to maintain its attractiveness. Therefore, ZELLCHEMING’s structure, activities and objectives will increasingly be aligned with the international role of the paper industry in Germany.

The pillars of the association’s work are the activities of the technical committees which are to be regarded as panels for the exchange of experiences in all stages of the production chain. Furthermore, these committees are work groups that not only solve common tasks but formulate and forward development subjects to research institutes.
In view of the globalisation and its consequences as well as due to the high share of foreign enterprises in companies in Germany, ZELLCHEMING is open for domestic and foreign companies to gain access to the infrastructure of the technical and scientific field of our industry in Germany through an integration in the technical committees.

All members, even national ones, will benefit from the further internationalisation of the association which is planned. In hardly any other industry are committed members of a technical and scientific association offered such an intensive possibility to take part in a constructive exchange of views with qualified colleagues from domestic and foreign countries. This results in advantages for both the personal members and the companies they work for.
